Qsuite is widely held up as the world's best business class. Here is the 2026 reality for Indian flyers — which routes have it, how to confirm before booking, and the loyalty math.
Quick answer
Qsuite is the business class product on Qatar Airways' Boeing 777-300ER and Airbus A350-1000 metal. From India in 2026 it is most reliably found on long-haul rotations from Mumbai (BOM), Delhi (DEL), Bengaluru (BLR) and Hyderabad (HYD). Smaller Indian gateways (MAA, COK, AMD, CCJ, TRV, LKO) are typically operated by A320 or A321 metal which do not have Qsuite — those are conventional regional business cabins. Always verify the aircraft type before booking — Qatar's booking flow shows the operating aircraft and Qsuite-equipped 777/A350 rotations are clearly identifiable.
Why Qsuite is the product that matters
Qsuite is a 1-2-1 configuration but with a meaningful twist — every business class seat has full sliding doors creating a genuine private suite. The centre pair (2-2 middle column) can be configured as a 'quad suite' for four travellers facing each other with the centre divider lowered, useful for families or groups of four travelling together. The seat product itself includes a fully flat bed of around 78 inches, lie-flat mattress, designer bedding, an a la carte dining service and a wide-screen IFE.
The reason Qsuite specifically matters in business class is the door-closed privacy. Compared to a Singapore Airlines 1-2-1 forward-herringbone, an Emirates 1-2-1 on the 777 Game Changer, or an Air India new A350 reverse-herringbone, the Qsuite door changes the experience meaningfully — you can sleep, work or have a conversation without the cabin awareness of an open cabin. For long-haul night sectors (Doha-Sao Paulo, Doha-Sydney, the longer westbound transatlantic), this matters. For a 4-hour Doha-India hop, it matters less.
Indian routes with Qsuite — the 2026 schedule pattern
The pattern is fleet-driven. Qatar Airways' 777-300ER and A350-1000 fleets are the only Qsuite-equipped airframes. These are deployed primarily on long-haul Doha-to-Europe, Doha-to-USA, Doha-to-Asia routes. The India routes that get this metal are typically the rotations that continue from India directly into a long-haul DOH segment, where the airframe positions in India overnight.
As of mid-2026 the routes most reliably operating Qsuite metal at least once daily are:
- BOM-DOH — typically a daily 777-300ER Qsuite rotation, often the late-evening departure.
- DEL-DOH — daily 777-300ER and on select days A350-1000.
- BLR-DOH — at least one daily Qsuite rotation, more often A350.
- HYD-DOH — variable, depending on schedule cycle.
MAA, COK, AMD, TRV, CCJ and LKO are typically A320/A321 metal — these have a competent but conventional regional business class with no Qsuite. If Qsuite is the goal, position to BOM, DEL, BLR or HYD and book a confirmed wide-body rotation.
How to confirm Qsuite on the booking flow
Three checks before paying for Qatar business class:
- Aircraft type on the booking flow — Qatar's seat map clearly distinguishes the 777-300ER Qsuite, 787-9 (non-Qsuite reverse-herringbone), A350-1000 Qsuite and A350-900 (non-Qsuite). The seat map symbology shows the suite-door indicator on Qsuite aircraft.
- Seat map preview — Qsuite cabins have the distinctive 1-2-1 layout with the alternating seat direction (forward-facing windows, rear-facing centre on some rows). Non-Qsuite reverse-herringbone has all seats facing the same direction.
- Schedule reliability — Qatar Airways occasionally swaps a Qsuite aircraft for a non-Qsuite aircraft on the day if there is a fleet rotation issue. This is rare but worth knowing — the schedule reliability is high but not 100 percent.
Privilege Club and oneworld earning
Qatar Airways' loyalty programme is Privilege Club, a member of the oneworld alliance. Earning on Qatar metal is based on fare class booked. Economy Saver earns 25 to 50 percent of distance flown. Economy Classic earns 100 percent. Business Lite earns 125 percent. Business Classic earns 175 percent. Business Elite earns 200 percent. First class earns 300 percent.
For Indian flyers building oneworld status, Qatar is the most accessible flag-bearer because of the dense daily frequencies to most Indian metros. Privilege Club Silver and Gold are achievable on regular long-haul flying. Gold opens oneworld Sapphire status which gives lounge access across the alliance — including the British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines and Malaysian premium lounges.
Oneworld partner earning on Qatar metal works at the partner programme's published earn rate. If you hold British Airways Avios, Cathay Asia Miles, American Airlines AAdvantage or any other oneworld currency, your Qatar flight credits that programme at the partner-published rate. This is meaningful — many Indian flyers find better award redemption value through Avios or Asia Miles than through Privilege Club itself.
Doha DOH lounges and the layover experience
Doha's Hamad International Airport has the strongest single-airport lounge product in the Middle East. Al Mourjan Business Lounge is the flagship for business class passengers, oneworld Sapphire and Emerald status and Privilege Club Gold and Platinum members. It is one of the largest and most-praised business class lounges globally, with a la carte dining, dedicated shower suites and quiet sleep zones. Al Safwa First Class Lounge is for first class passengers and oneworld Emerald / Privilege Club Platinum, with a more exclusive product including private suites.
For economy passengers, the Oryx Premium Lounge (pay-per-use, accessible via DreamFolks and Priority Pass for Indian credit card holders) is a competent option. Walk-in pricing is roughly QAR 200 to 280 for a 4-hour visit. The DOH terminal itself is modern and comfortable for transit even without lounge access — see our broader Doha layover guide for the full breakdown.
Qatar Airways' free city-tour and stopover programme is genuinely useful for layovers of 4 hours or more. The complimentary Doha city tour is available to Qatar passengers across cabin classes on layovers of 4 to 24 hours — pre-book through Discover Qatar.
The honest case for and against booking Qsuite
Book Qsuite when: (a) you can confirm the aircraft type on the booking flow before paying, (b) the long-haul sector continuing from DOH justifies the business class spend (DOH-LHR, DOH-JFK, DOH-CDG, DOH-LAX), or (c) you are travelling as a group of two or four and want the centre quad-suite configuration. The Qsuite experience genuinely justifies a business class spend on a 7+ hour sector.
Skip Qsuite when: (a) the only business class option from your Indian gateway is the narrow-body A320/A321 metal (which is not Qsuite-equipped), (b) the long-haul leg is short (under 5 hours and you do not need flat-bed sleep), or (c) the price gap to a Premium Economy seat on the same route is large — Premium Economy on the same aircraft is meaningfully cheaper and a fair compromise.

Frequently asked questions
Does every Qatar Airways flight from India have Qsuite?
No. Qsuite is only on the 777-300ER and A350-1000 metal. Routes from BOM, DEL, BLR, HYD typically have Qsuite at least once daily. Routes from MAA, COK, AMD, CCJ, TRV, LKO are usually narrow-body A320/A321 which is not Qsuite-equipped.
How do I verify Qsuite on the booking flow?
Qatar's seat map clearly shows the aircraft type. Qsuite 777 and A350-1000 cabins have a distinctive 1-2-1 layout with sliding suite doors and alternating seat orientation. Non-Qsuite reverse-herringbone has all seats facing the same direction.
Is Qsuite better than Emirates business class?
On the headline product, generally yes — the sliding doors create a meaningfully more private experience. The Emirates A380 first class is a different category. For business class specifically, Qsuite is widely held as the best.
Can I earn Avios on Qatar Airways flights from India?
Yes. Qatar is a oneworld partner and crediting Avios on Qatar flights works at British Airways' published earn rate. For many Indian flyers Avios redemption gives better value than Privilege Club.
Is the centre quad Qsuite worth it for a family of four?
For families travelling together, yes. The centre column on the 777 Qsuite can be configured as a private quad suite with all four seats facing each other and the divider lowered. Few business class products offer this.
