Day 1: Arrive Hanoi, overnight train to Sapa
Arrive in Hanoi and spend time exploring the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake, with an evening of street food. Later, board the overnight train (or sleeper bus) heading northwest towards the mountains and the Sapa region.
Day 2: Arrive Sapa, Cat Cat village
Arrive in the misty highland town of Sapa and check in. Ease into the altitude with a walk down to Cat Cat village, home to the Black H'mong, taking in waterfalls, traditional houses, and the terraced valley scenery on the way.
Day 3: Sapa trek day one
