Day 1: Arrival in Ankara

Arrive in Turkey's capital, Ankara, and transfer to your hotel. Settle in and rest after your journey. First Indian dinner with the group.

Day 2: Ankara to Cappadocia

Visit the imposing Ataturk Mausoleum (Anitkabir), the resting place of modern Turkey's founder, then travel to Cappadocia. Begin taking in its surreal rock landscape on arrival. Overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 3: Cappadocia sightseeing

Explore the Goreme open-air museum, the fairy chimneys of Pasabag, the castle-town of Uchisar and local workshops. Optional dawn hot-air balloon ride at extra cost. Overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 4: Cappadocia to Antalya via Konya

Day 7: Pamukkale to Bodrum

Travel to the Aegean resort town of Bodrum, known for its whitewashed houses, marina and crusader castle. Settle in for a relaxed coastal stay. Overnight in Bodrum.

Day 8: Bodrum beach time

Day 11: Canakkale to Istanbul

An optional visit to the WWI Gallipoli battlefields and memorials is available before travelling on to Istanbul. Settle in on arrival. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 12: Istanbul city tour and Bosphorus
