Amarnath Yatra by Helicopter from Baltal tour package — 5N/6D itinerary, price and inclusions
The faster, helicopter-assisted route to the Amarnath cave shrine via Baltal, combined with Kashmir sightseeing. Flights to Srinagar, yatra registration assistance and an RFID card are included. From Baltal you fly by helicopter (Neelgrath-Panjtarni return), then complete the last roughly 6 km to the holy ice-lingam cave by pony or on foot. The trip also takes in Sonamarg, Pahalgam's Aru and Betaab valleys, and Srinagar, so it doubles as a Kashmir holiday. Honest note: the Amarnath yatra is a high-altitude undertaking with strict registration, medical-fitness and seasonal-window requirements; helicopter and pony operations are weather-dependent and can be delayed or cancelled, and the cave's natural ice-lingam waxes and wanes through the season. Devotion and flexibility are essential, but this route spares the multi-day traditional trek. starting at INR 55,000 per person. Covers Srinagar 2N, Sonamarg 1N, Baltal heli day, Pahalgam 1N, Srinagar 1N.

Day 2: Srinagar to Sonamarg
Enjoy a little Srinagar sightseeing — the Mughal gardens or a shikara ride on Dal Lake — before driving to Sonamarg, the meadow of gold, set amid alpine scenery. Check in and rest at altitude, acclimatising and preparing for the early start to Baltal and the cave the next day.
Day 3: Amarnath darshan via Baltal helicopter
An early transfer to Baltal for the helicopter from Neelgrath to Panjtarni, soaring over the mountains. Return by helicopter; overnight at Sonamarg or onward, weather permitting.
Day 4: Travel to Pahalgam
Drive to Pahalgam, the beautiful valley town on the Lidder river. On arrival, visit the scenic Aru and Betaab valleys (made famous by Hindi films) by local taxi, enjoying the meadows and pine forests. Check in and spend a restful evening in this tranquil setting after the yatra.
Day 5: Return to Srinagar
Drive back to Srinagar, with a stop at the saffron fields of Pampore or the Mughal gardens along the way if time allows. Enjoy a shikara ride on Dal Lake in the evening and some last shopping for Kashmiri handicrafts before your final night.
